Mrs. Burnham in First Grade
Can you believe I was ever this cute! This is me in first grade!
I remember my first grade teacher was Mrs. Kildaire and how we learned to read with Dick and Jane books. Thank goodness teaching reading has changed and is more interesting to teach now. I grew up in Baltimore, Maryland and traveled the United States in my childhood. My family loved to go camping. My own children are now in their 30's and live in California, Kentucky and Maryland. I have been teaching for over 23 years and first grade is the best!

Hello! I am Mrs. Teresa McCotter, the teacher assistant for Mrs. Burnham's class. This my 4th year at Olive Chapel Elementary and I have enjoyed the staff and children. My passion is to nurture and teach our children and this has afforded me 29 years in the education system. I was born and raised in Eastern North Carolina and have lived in the Wake County area with my husband of 33 years. We currently live in Fuquay-Varina. We are blessed to be educators: my husband a Special Education/Math teacher, my son a Middle School Principal and my daughter a 4th Grade Elementary Teacher. I have 3 wonderful grandsons and last but not least my cute little dog Bingo.
I enjoy spending time with my grandsons, playing games on my tablet and just relaxing at home with a good TV show. I am thrilled to be back at OCE and looking forward to a great year.
